E158 Collaboration Meeting at Berkeley

General Information

The meeting will be held at the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, located at 1 Cyclotron Rd in Berkeley Hills, above Cal campus. You can find the variaty of useful information for visitors, including accommodations, restaurant guide, and directions to the lab at the LBL's visitor site. The meeting room is Perseverance Hall in the Cafeteria, Bldg. 54 on the LBNL Site Map.

If you are flying in, Oakland is the airport of choice. It should take you 40 mins or so to get to Berkeley from Oakland on Friday night. SFO is about an hour away if traffic on the Bay Bridge cooperates; I would not attempt to cross it before 7pm on a Friday night :-) Both SFO and OAK are accessible by BART light rail service from downtown Berkeley (should take you about an hour from either airport).

Among the hotels on the list, Hotel Durant (which had a block of rooms reserved for the meeting) is within walking distance to the Lab (the brisk walk uphill in the morning would be a good exercise !) For those of you driving from the airport, most hotels provide parking (for a $5-$10/night fee). Parking at LBNL is free; you should be able to find ample parking near the Cafeteria. If you do not plan to drive and may need a ride from the hotel in the morning, please indicate this on the registration form. We may be able to provide a shuttle or carpool service.

In order to provide access to the lab, I will need a list of people attending the meeting. To help with this process, please fill out the following form. To see the list of participants, click here.
